"Like everyone else, when we were first planning our wedding, one of the first things we decided was that we wanted our day to be personal and special. However, where we may have differed from a lot of other people is that this didn’t just mean quirky table names or photos and trinkets dotted around the venue (although obviously we did this too) we also wanted it to apply to the celebrant who would actually wed us. 

"We didn’t like the thought of having a total stranger, who we’d never met before, being the one to have the right to tell us we’re married. This led to a bit of a search to find a celebrant who we felt comfortable with and who would take the time to get to know us, fully understand what we wanted from our wedding day and be the one to start our marriage off in the right way. Then we found Grant. 

"Grant was exactly this. He was immediately on board with our plans for the day and was happy to take the time getting to know us. We met a couple of times to go over the order of service we had created together and Grant made a few suggestions about what we should do and when, which worked perfectly on the day. 

"Grant asked for our vows in advance of the ceremony and I was really impressed on the day in how he seemed to have used these to gain a better understanding of us as a couple and incorporated this into the service. "In the run up he led us through every step, not only of the day itself but things that needed to be finalised beforehand and gave us helpful suggestions of things I hadn’t even thought of. On the day itself not only did he take every stress away, because he had everything under control, he also made us all feel so special.

"He’d curated all our memories from our meetings into a beautiful story about us for our guests, which he told with his great humour and easy manner while weaving in every important person to us. We were told several times after by guests he’d made them feel genuinely special. There were laughs and there were tears in the audience and from us both!
